Fashion Friday: Over the Knee Boots and Animal Prints

Spring is around the corner, but we’ve still got a few months (at least for us Northerners!) until the flip flops and sandals take the place of our beloved boots. I’m a fan of just about every boot, especially the over the knee variety. Worn with a pair of skinnies they can be a knock out look, but make sure to pair them with a fun and flirty, but not to revealing top. They are the red lipstick of style: worn well stylish and on-trend, worn poorly and the look is reminiscent of a street walker. We’re going for stylish and on-trend here. But no judgement if you’d prefer the latter.

Animal prints, like wise, are a fun addition to any look, when worn well. Stick to one animal print piece at a time. If you’re sporting, say, an animal print ruffled cami like the one pictured below, opt for a solid bag or purse instead of an animal print so as not to become a walking safari.

This season is all about mixing metals so don’t fret over matching silver and gold jewelry or accents. Mix, match and have fun!
