Weekly Meal Planning and Other Ways We Pull It All Together

When we decided to start a family, we both knew I wanted to be a Stay at Home Mom and we both agreed that this was the best choice for our family. We saw the time it took to conceive Baby E (which was considerably longer than we had anticipated) as an opportunity to learn to live on one income. The first few months of living on one income were hairy to say the least. After some trial and error we found ways to save money that fit into our lifestyle (like I said, we had a long time to practice). We found the biggest savings to be in weekly meal planning combined with couponing (nothing extreme!), making our own cleaning products, and me becoming a Mary Kay Consultant to support my addiction to skin care and cosmetics. No really.

I will be posting our weekly meal plans, for us and Baby E. My goal is to help readers learn to make their own weekly meal plans, learn a few things about coupons, find some new recipes and meal ideas, and learn along with us new ways to save money while enjoying daily life!

  1. What a cutie! You’re so smart to plan your meals weekly. It’s surprising how many people don’t! I went crazy with coupons for a while and now use meal planning and shopping at Aldi’s to save $. Thanks for stopping by Psychowith6.

    • I was so excited when I found Aldi’s! And yes, I totally agree, meal planning and knowing what stores to shop at are WAY easier than couponing.
